Just the Beginning

Sheesh, what a week. I was working frantically on a MatLab program for astrodynamics until about 4:30 PM this afternoon. After that I was free to go home for the day, but as soon as I got here I made a list of the things I have to do for school this weekend. I wrote it on a large Post-It note and tacked it up on my computer screen. Here is what it looks like:

1) Study for astrodynamics test (test on Monday)
2) Aerodynamics homework (due Monday)
3) Circuits homework (due Monday)
4) Circuits lab report #4 and prelab #5 (due Thursday)
5) Numerical Analysis homework (due Friday)

Doesn’t that sound like fun? I was talking to someone this morning, listing the assignments you have just read, when I realized that my weekend is going to be horrible! Right now I am watching the finals of the Jeopary! college tournament. The questions aren’t very hard, but we’ll see what the final question is like. I guess I shouldn’t be talking – there’s no way I could compete on that show. I was never fast enough with the buzzer on my high school brain bowl team. That would explain why I didn’t compete in many games. Well, that and the fact that several other people were much better than me! By the way, I didn’t know the answer to the Final Jeopardy question, but those are always a toss up anyway.

I have a lot of other things to do this weekend. On the job front I have to finish filling out my Boeing employment application and send it out tomorrow. Also I got an email from my connection at the Florida Space Institute yesterday with a couple of people I can send my resume to. I am always on the lookout for an opportunity and I am hoping to get a definite internship for the summer soon. The Engineering Fair is this week, Tuesday through Thursday, and we are getting together tomorrow afternoon to work on the display boards for the presentation. At some point I will probably get together with some people from class to study for the astrodynamics test. I won’t have any time to relax this weekend, but spring break is coming pretty soon.

I just had dinner and I am going to the mall with Stu soon. We need to exchange the Valentine’s present I bought for him. I got him a shirt from the Gap and it turns out that I don’t know what size he wears. At least I’ll know for the next time! You’re in trouble now, Stu!
